[KiniNews] Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh has insisted that that Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim should dismiss Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Tiong King Sing over the bak kut teh issue.
This came following Tiong's reply to him yesterday.
He also cited Tiong's remarks about not being extremist and questioned if talking about sensitive matters, especially among Malays, is considered extremist.
“If so, the extremists are people like you who do not know how to respect the sensitivity of the majority of the Muslim population in this country,” he said.
Meanwhile, in a separate story, lawyers acting for former finance minister Daim Zainuddin and his wife Na’imah Abdul Khalid have labelled Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s public statement over the MACC probe against the duo as “highly prejudicial”.
In response to the Pakatan Harapan chairperson’s remark made yesterday over the opposition being allegedly silent over the MACC probe of the super-rich, Rajesh Nagarajan and Sachpreetraj Singh questioned Anwar’s constant lashing out in public against Daim.
