[KiniNews] An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7, hit 16 kilometres north northwest (NNW) of Sagaing, Myanmar, earlier today, the US Geological Survey said.
The earthquake was also felt beyond Myanmar’s borders, with Thailand's capital Bangkok experiencing major tremors.
A 30-story building under construction collapsed in the Thai capital, resulting in one death and leaving 43 others missing.
Meanwhile, in a separate story, Independent preacher Zamri Vinoth was remanded for two days.
This is over his Facebook posts regarding the relocation of the Dewi Sri Pathrakaliamman temple in Kuala Lumpur.
He was remanded to assist in investigations into allegations of insulting religion and disturbing public order.
