Langkawi MP Suhaimi Abdullah called for one of his constituency's 99 islands to be set aside for stray dogs.He told a press conference in Parliament today that this was to tackle the issue of stray dogs biting residents and tourists.This came following a March 1 incident where a four-year-old boy was severely injured after being bitten by a stray dog in Kampung Dedek, Langkawi.

DAP vice-chairperson Nga Kor Ming said the party’s cooperation with Umno is only about eight months old, and yet the alliance managed to perform well in the Negeri Sembilan state election.This shows that the cooperation between DAP in Pakatan Harapan and Umno in BN is on the right track, he said.He was responding to remarks from Umno supreme council member Isham Jalil who said Umno needs to review its relationship with DAP, including the possibility of only cooperating at the government level and not in elections.
