Former human resources minister M Kulasegaran today urged the government to take action against a restaurant operator who fired its worker for wearing a necklace with a cross.
In his speech at the Dewan Rakyat this evening, Kulasegaran said the country has laws that specifically deal with religious discrimination in the workplace.
Kula added that such discrimination would spread in Malaysia should the government fail to address the issue.
