Teoh Beng Hock's family has submitted a protest letter to the Prime Minister’s Office, requesting a meeting with Anwar Ibrahim.
Yap Hwa Ng, a representative of the Teoh Beng Hock Association for Democratic Advancement, says that after a year of leading the government, there has been no response from Anwr or other ministers after the group went through proper channels.
In 2009, Teoh had been interrogated by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and died in custody.
